Under general supervision the employee will work with finance management, staff, and business unit senior staff members in varied areas of financial analysis and in doing so demonstrate appropriate understanding and working knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and company processes.
Work with business unit leadership to develop, submit, and countermeasure departmental budgets.
Assist with the preparation and presentation of capital requests.
Monitor all business unit capital projects to ensure timely processing and communication of progress.
Assist with daily reporting, review, and communication of sales margins.
Report and drive ownership of financial and business unit specific metrics.
Assist in the month-end closing process which includes journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of accounts.
Maintain, support and actively participate in internal control requirements as well as ensuring compliance with policies and GAAP.
Identify and communicate the financial impact of business unit process and changes.
Prepare senior management for routine and non-routine meetings via assistance with data collection, presentation preparation, and/or team coordination.
Assist with the preparation of management financial statements and corporate reporting.
Familiarity with US GAAP.
Excellent Microsoft Office expertise required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of software such as SAP and Hyperion.
Strong data mining and analytic skills.
Ability to write reports and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
Individual who is action-oriented and excellent people skills highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance required.
