Summary

The Director of Maintenance (DOM) at ATAC’s Adversary Center of Excellence (ACE) is a pilot position that oversees all aircraft maintenance related policies, procedures, inspection programs and schedules to include manpower and finance management as well as OEM coordination and sourcing at Alliance Fort Worth and all regional operations under the purview of ACE. Required to report directly to the Vice President of ATAC ACE for all activities.

Scope

The ATAC ACE DOM will report to the Vice President of ATAC ACE, coordinate with the ACE Director of Flight Operations (DFO), The ACE Safety Manager (SM), the ACE Chief Pilot, and all ACE regional Directors of Operations (DO) for all activities related to aircraft maintenance in support of customer requirements in Alliance Fort Worth and all ACE designated Areas of Responsibility (AOR). The DOM will ensure adequate maintenance manpower, training, equipment, and parts are available in support of all flight related activities. The ACE DOM will interface with the equivalent Director of Maintenance and functional leaders at headquarters.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Required to be an operationally active pilot within ATAC ACE

  • Responsible for overseeing all aviation maintenance related activities under the purview of ACE

  • Responsible for adherence to all safety regulations, policies and procedures in accordance with all Federal, State, corporate and company requirements.

  • Required to coordinate with the Director of Safety, ACE Safety Manager and ACE Ground Safety Manager regarding all maintenance related activities.

  • Responsible for all aircraft related technical data and OEM/3rdparty MRO support.

  • Responsible for all aircraft hangar and warehouse related facility issues

  • Liaise with all host base maintenance and facilities POC’s as required

  • Responsible for the oversight of all Maintenance related General Operating Procedures (GOP’s) and training.

  • Responsible for all invoicing and budgeting oversight to include expense accounting for aircraft type/model/series material support and wages of all maintenance personnel.

  • Responsible for all Maintenance personnel evaluations and submission.

  • Liaison with equivalent headquarters DOM for oversight of all company policy and procedures related to Maintenance (Flight Operations Manuals, GOP’s, maintenance manuals, and Training)

  • Responsible for providing operational risk management oversight for all maintenance activities and personnel actions as appropriate.

  • Responsible for the oversight and accuracy of the ACE Aircraft Management System.

  • Responsible for continuous evaluate of maintenance manpower requirements for ACE

  • Responsible for providing corrective action for all maintenance audits within ACE as appropriate.

  • Network with industry and government for future maintenance operations.

Experience Required

  • 5 years of formal Aviation Maintenance Management Experience

  • 10 years of prior Military Fighter Experience

  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience

  • BS/BA Degree required

  • Command experience desired

  • Demonstrated experience or has had training in the following:

  • AMS Management Systems

  • Risk Management

  • Human factors and the decision-making process

  • Accident prevention
