This is an opportunity for a candidate to join a world-class audit function with excellent growth potential within Textron’s global Finance function. The Audit Manager will be responsible for leading teams in the planning and execution of financial, compliance and, potentially, IT audits and special projects across all Textron business units and corporate functions to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and adequacy of these processes and related controls. They will also play a key role in the development of the annual risk-based audit plan and the training and development of audit staff members. This position will provide a diverse background for the candidate to grow their career in other areas of Textron’s Finance organization.
Lead teams in performance of audit work in accordance with established standards, ensuring completion within prescribed budget and scope parameters
Perform risk assessment and develop appropriate audit plans and procedures
Analyze and test key business processes to ensure adequate control environment has been established and financial information is presented completely and accurately
Identify problems quickly, assess their relevance to the business and develop recommendations
Prepare written reports for distribution to senior Corporate and business unit management
Supervise and train members of the audit team
Collaborate with key corporate and business unit personnel involved in the business process
Participate in discussion and presentation of audit findings and recommended corrective actions
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Travel approximately 20-30% (primarily U.S., occasionally international)

Protect and maintain the confidential/private status of audit records
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance preferred, CPA, or CMA is desired
3 - 5 years of prior business experience in auditing or accounting (within a manufacturing or aerospace & defense environment preferred)
Demonstrated working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOX compliance requirements
Solid understanding of data analysis tools is desired
SAP, Oracle, Hyperion or audit/data analytics software experience is a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team
Good finance and data analytical skills, with strong risk awareness and thorough understanding of processes and controls
