Description

Bell is seeking a self-motivated Engineer to join Bell’s 412 Program Team and support the continuing development of this product. This Engineer is responsible for design activities related to the preparation and release of engineering data related to the continued production of this aircraft. This position must maintain compliance to the various Design Manuals, Best Practices, Customer and Regulatory Specifications, Bell procedures, Program Directives, and annual CRC requirements.This position is located at Bell Helicopter’s Headquarter Center in Fort Worth, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Project Lead of Technical Data Request submitted by SUBARU for EPX/UHX

  • Work closely with technical fellows and SMEs to respond in a timely manner to SUBARU

  • Create or revise detail, assembly, and installation drawings based on manufacturing or supplier input, research and analysis

  • Support of Mechanical Systems for 412 aircraft:

  • Drive system design changes

  • Rotor system design changes

  • Airframe design changes

  • Assist in researching pertinent data and developing solutions for the project or assignment.

  • Coordinate with other engineering, manufacturing or specialty personnel to resolve problems.

Assignments will involve detail design under the supervision of a lead engineer.

  • Write Certification Plans to support upcoming 412 projects

  • Work with the ODA/EFUMs to complete compliance checklist and necessary certification documents

  • Incorporate current and future kit provisions for 412

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required

  • Major in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering is preferred

  • Otherclosely related Engineering degree may be considered with applicable experience

Position Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of related aircraft experience

  • PC proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6, other CAD software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Experience with Enovia

  • Experience using MS Project or Primavera

  • Familiarity with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement andMaintenance processes

  • Proficiency with GD&T

  • Familiarity with BHTI Drawing Content and Release procedureincluding DRM, Issues, SIAR’s
