Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in problem solving to program design engineering for Metallic Materials & Thermal Processes Manufacturing.

  • Lead research projects that advance the technologies related to Metal Material Component Manufacturing

  • Provide expertise to internal and external stakeholders including Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Engineering Labs, suppliers, etc.

  • Represent Bell in industry committees or associations.

  • Provide creative and innovative solutions to advanced vertical lift concepts during the predesign phase.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers which may include creating SOWs, project/delivery status, external supplier visits, etc.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Materials Science, or related technical discipline.

  • At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following technical disciplines:

o Metallic Materials & Processes Manufacturing

o Primary metals production methods for aerospace applications

  • Preferred skills:

o Proficient in CAD/CAM and/or CATIA V5/V6

o Working knowledge of industry materials and processes specifications
