The Software Engineer supports Bell’s Aircrew Flight Simulators developed for US Marines and US Air Force customers. This position will work closely with Bell’s Software Lead Engineer on task assignments. This position will be an integral part of the overall program Integrated Product Team environment. This position will receive design information from team leaders and will develop software subsystem models, perform unit testing and integrate into larger simulator software and hardware subsystems. This position will require interfacing with Bell customers during the acceptance phase of the program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Real-Time software modeling and simulation development for aircraft elements subsystems.

  • Work in a fast paced team oriented environment

  • Debug of avionics and interface software/hardware subsystems

  • Support qualification testing program phases with customer and other team members

  • Program presentations for design reviews

  • Be responsible for software developed throughout program lifecycle.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering - or equivalent discipline – is required.

Position Requirements:

  • Requires C, C or JAVA experience

  • Must understand programming data structures

  • Must be familiar with Linux/Unix development environment

  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance

  • Must be task oriented and be able to meet program schedule milestones
