Production Planner Associate


Position Summary

Reportingto the Sr Production Planner, the Planner’s primary responsibility is to assistin management of stock levels of Tactical Mission Systems (TMS) fieldoperations and the Blackstone production facility. Required to interpret billof material requirements and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) changes to issuepurchase requisitions and ensure supply and demand is balanced. The Planner isalso a key interface with program management, procurement, quality, andengineering on behalf of the TMS integrated supply chain (ISC) team.


  • Execute all aspects of material planning and production control, including interpretation of bill of material requirements and issuance of material requisitions. Manage inventory site objective levels at field sites to ensure inventory objectives are met and maintained for continued support of operations

  • Work with engineering and manufacturing engineering on Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Field Modification Instructions (FMI), Field Service Bulletins (FSB) effectivity

  • Maintain production line of balance for material, and work with Blackstone production facility to address any immediate constraints.

  • Monitor and reconcile inventory levels

  • Insure materials are received, issued, and consumed per production build requirements

  • Partner with procurement, production manager, engineering, and program management, and other supply chain disciplines to proactively plan, schedule, and effectively manage development, production, and aftermarket support environments

  • Deploy a material movement approach consistent with the Lean principles of Flow and Pull

  • Manage inventory levels, material flow, and logistics among suppliers, plants and customers to achieve targeted delivery lead times while minimizing working capital investment.



  • Bachelors degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, business or related field
