The Senior IT Security Analyst mustbe a highly-motivated, self-driven team player that can perform in a fastchanging business environment. The Senior IT Security Analyst is responsiblefor implementing governance and compliance requirements across the TextronSystems business unit. The person will work within the IT risk management teamand support IT projects and initiatives with members of the InformationTechnology group and business stakeholders. In this cross functional role, theywill work with technical managers, system administrators, application owners,software developers, infrastructure, service delivery, and IT leaders tomitigate and remediate vulnerabilities and manage technology risks across theenterprise. The Senior analyst will be leveraged to work with IT teams todesign, build, and monitor leading-edge IT configurations to ensure they meetregulatory and IT governance compliance requirements. The Senior analystrequires a diversity of knowledge and experience related to operating systems,applications, databases and networking to perform technical IT security risk assessments,IT security monitoring, vulnerability management analysis, risk mitigationactions, and assist with IT disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.The candidate must have experience collaborating with business areas tounderstand business and IT requirements so that we deliver IT securitysolutions to support Textron Systems domestic and international businessinitiatives. Candidate will also work with the Textron Enterprise security teamon corporate IT security projects and initiatives that address complianceissues and improve our security posture across the Textron enterprise. Thiscalls for a resourceful senior analyst with the ability to interpret complexinformation and develop solutions to address security concerns in a timelymanner
Work closely with other IT teammembers and end users to provide solutions based on business requirementsduring all phases of the development and life cycle management process.
Lead IT security initiatives andprojects with risk management and other IT team members.
Complete technical risk assessmentfor IT projects to ensure they meet compliance requirements.
Use of IT security tools for riskmanagement monitoring purpose, compile reports and complete complex securityanalysis tasks to identify suspicious activities and take appropriate action.
Configure monitoring alerts and performdata analysis to identify anomalies and risk mitigation actions.
Complete vulnerability managementanalysis to ensure system, application, and database patches are applied toreduce security risks.
Search for and analyze securitytechnology to reduce risks in every information security segment. Research andsuggest measures to improve IT related procedures, operations, processes, andsystems, specific to information security concerns throughout our business unit
Work with business areas and ITstaff to update and maintain IT disaster recovery plans (DRP), business impactanalysis (BIA), and application recovery documents (ARD).
Ensures IT compliance for SOX and CyberDFARS regulatory requirements, and plays a lead role in support of andsuccessfully passing IT audits.
Perform IT security incidentresponse and remediation activities, to include working with Textron enterpriseand other business unit IT security teams, as necessary.
Develop and disseminate securityawareness and education information to end users and system administrators
Develop and maintain documentationrelated to security processes, systems, procedures, and events.
Provide recommendations to mitigaterisks through the appropriate use of technical, procedural, and administrativecontrols in accordance with legal and regulatory compliance standards andestablished industry best practice
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in ComputerScience or Engineering, Computer Security or Information Assurance orequivalent work experience (technical certifications, training, etc.)
6 years of IT technical,administrative, and network security experience with a knowledge of informationsecurity principles. Possess and maintain industry recognized securitycertifications (i.e., CISSP, Security , GIAC). Active security clearance or theability to obtain a security clearance
Experience with Windows desktop, server O/S, and Active Directory users andgroups security configuration. Experience with Linux O/S is preferred
Experience monitoring and assessingsecurity threats
Understanding of enterprise,network, system/endpoint, and application-level security issues and risks
Experience understanding anddetermining vulnerabilities
Responsible for remediation oranalysis for identified security incident
Understanding of TCP/IP networking
Demonstrated experience withvulnerability assessment platforms and tools, antivirus and malware preventionand analysis tools, log management, security event and information systems, andnetwork firewalls
Understanding of network, system andapplication hardening techniques, processes, and standards
Must be able to establish andmaintain multiple priorities
Established ability to learn andcontribute quickly
Results oriented and fact-baseddecision making
Ability to work independently aswell as collaboratively; possesses sound business judgment
