TheQuality Engineer’s role is responsible for the overall Quality for assignedproduction parts. The Quality Engineer plans and directs activitiesconcerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standardsfor inspection processes and materials.
Conducts fieldaudits and vendor evaluations.
Investigates/reportson manufacturing and field problems as required from the PACT Team, Warranty,Service Parts and 1N Process.
Develops andinitiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation
Implementsprocedures in accordance with the Contract partner Certification Program.Provides statistical and graphical analysis of data.
Maintains qualityassurance objectives to maximize product reliability and minimizecorm.in the following areas:
Scrap and Rework
Job performancewill be strongly measured in these areas. Individual is responsible forcorrections in these areas as well as when quality results are below standardsor management expectations.
Monitor, communicate and improve keysupply chain KPI’s including PPM, line disruptions and days to closenon-conforming material tickets (NCMT)
Work to resolve technical issues in atimely manner to ensure continuity of supplies
Facilitate the deployment ofcorrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues as wellas customer complaints through the coordination of cross-functional teams
Bachelor'sdegree Engineering and 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training orequivalent combination of education and experience
LICENSEAND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
ASQ Certification as CQE, CQA, orCQM;Green/Black Beltpreferred
Regularlyrequired to sit and talk or hear.
Occasionallyrequired to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools,or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjustfocus.
