Reporting to the Installation and Hardware Integration Manager, the Simulator Installation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring on time product delivery while participating in activities such as integration and testing of hardware while in Montreal, as well as participating in device installations at customer sites around the world.

Verify the hardware system’s functionality and troubleshoot deficiencies.
Install full flight simulators at customer training centers.
Survey customer locations to ensure that they meet simulator requirements.
Communicate simulator requirements to customers.
Communicate site deficiencies to customers in a professional manner.
Work with engineering to develop solutions to installation challenges.
Support the creation of documentation and procedures.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the year for up to a month.
Troubleshoot simulator components using wiring diagrams and in-house software.
Other tasks that fall within the applicant’s skills and abilities.

Degree in a technical field or equivalency.
Confident and proactive.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Ability to troubleshoot systems using wiring diagrams.
Comfortable with Windows based devices.
Good technical writing skills in English.
Ability to implement and understand systems using logic and independent investigation on system functionality.
Experience in a customer facing roles.
Attention to detail, thoroughness, and proactivity.
Able to take on leadership roles and work independently.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the year with minimal notice for up to a month
Proficient in MS. Office (Excel, Word, MS. Project, Power Point, Outlook)
Fluent in English and French
Simulator technician or installation experience.
Knowledge of computers (windows, wiring, and electronic components)
Knowledge in Linux
Knowledge of simulator hardware troubleshooting
Knowledge of simulator mechanics and hardware
Experience in a customer facing roles
