Reporting to the Manager, Software Configuration – a group with huge visibility within the company –, you’ll be responsible for the integration, testing and troubleshooting of the software for Flight Simulator Trianing Devices (FSTD) in plant and at customer locations throughout the world.

  • Prepare and execute Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD) software integration

  • Conduct investigation, triaging and resolution of software anomalies found during testing and coordinate support from other functional teams as required

  • Support software troubleshooting and integration of updates and fixes onto simulator platforms in plant and at the customer site

  • Collaborate with other functional teams in the generation of Simulation Software

  • Prepare periodic activity progress reports to be presented to project stakeholders

  • Participate at the project meetings to understand project requirements and scope of work, status and plans. Ensure understanding of tasks, responsibilities and own contribution to compliance with project plans

  • Support acceptance testing activities of FSTDs in collaboration with type rated pilots and/or flight test engineers and customer evaluators

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in aeronautical related discipline

  • Proficient in C and computer operating systems (Windows, QNX, Linux).

  • Avionics and aircraft systems knowledge in multi-engine (jet or turboprop) commercial transport category fixed wing aircraft is very desirable.

  • Must work well in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Customer service or customer acceptance experience would be an asset.

  • Thorough command of the English language (oral and written). Preferably a second language at conversational level.

  • Willing to travel up to 40% of the time

  • Willing to work flexible schedules.

  • Must be autonomous, methodical and structured.

    • Diplôme d’ingénieur ou équivalent.
  • Bonne connaissance du langage C et connaissance des systèmes d’exploitation informatiques (Windows et Linux).

  • Au moins un an d’expérience dans un domaine connexe.

  • Capable de travailler efficacement au sein d’une équipe et excellente aptitude pour la communication et les relations interpersonnelles. Capable de travailler avec des clients provenant de cultures différentes.

  • Bonne capacité d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes.

  • Expérience du service à la clientèle ou des processus d’acceptation des clients, un atout.

  • Maîtrise de l’anglais (à l’oral et à l’écrit). Langue seconde (communication orale) souhaitée

  • Connaissance des systèmes d’avionique et/ou d’aéronefs multimoteurs (réacteurs ou turbopropulseurs) à voilure fixe de transport commercial, très souhaitable

  • Disponible pour voyager jusqu'a 40% du temps

  • Disponibilité pour travailler selon des horaires variables

  • Autonomie, rigueur et sens de l’organisation.
