Fabricator - Aeronautical Accessories


Normal aircraft assembly including installing rivets and assembling small components

  • Learn and understand manufacturing drawings and work instructions

  • Be familiar with basic measuring devices

  • Read and understand Bell drawings, manufacturing drawings and work orders with little supervision

  • Use measuring equipment to include calipers and micrometers

  • Demonstrate ability to perform the basic fabrication duties with general supervision (ie sawing, sanding, trimming, routing, scraping, cleaning and bonding

  • Mix compounds without supervision

  • Begin assisting with 1st piece inspection

  • Complete work orders with assistance

  • Ensure proper part identification and/or record S/N for plastics and windows manufactured with assistance

  • Demonstrate safe work habits and always wear proper PPE

  • Basic window and plastic fabrication under general supervision

  • Assisting in 1stpiece inspection and completion of work orders

  • Identification and recording of parts and serial numbers for plastics and windows

  • Knowledgeable and demonstration of safe work habits

  • Maintaining a neat, clean and organized work area


Education: High School or GED

Experience: 1 years experience in aircraft fabrication. Starting pay is dependent on years of relevant experience.

Skills/ Certifications: Licensed to operate forklift

Preferred: FAA airframe license

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to wear respiratory equipment.

  • Ability to work with hands in conjunction with hand/eye coordination

  • Required to work with hands in conjunction with good hand-eye coordination

  • Must be standing or sitting stationary for several hours

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis
