TRU Simulation Training, Inc., is searching for a Business Aviation Simulator Sales Director to support our Business Aviation Simulation operations that are focused on providing customers with innovative training and simulation products and services associated with the General Aviation segment.

The Business Aviation Simulator Sales Director must be a highly-motivated and self-driven team player who can thrive in the fast-paced world of simulation and training. This candidate will be responsible for using advanced concepts and industry knowledge to solve a wide range of problems and establish and maintain customer relationships. The preferred candidate will have industry specific and business development experience to create innovative solutions to successfully grow the business.

The Business Aviation Simulator Sales Director seeks out and develops international fixed- and rotary-wing business opportunities for General Aviation Simulation and Training line of business. This role will identify, qualify, pursue, and support the capture of business opportunities consistent with the organization’s strategic business plan. The preferred candidate will be a results-oriented relationship builder with strong customer service orientation and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to expand market position by identifying, developing and shaping of new commercial business opportunities

  • Generate qualified leads that result in successful sales that meet or exceed established goals

  • Develop Win-Strategies, Risk Analysis/Mitigation Plans, Partnering Strategies and guide cross-functional proposal teams through the acquisition process

  • Develop and lead gate reviews for assigned pursuits/opportunities

  • Develop and execute key messaging strategies and long-term engagement plans

  • Propose new product offerings/distribution channels that align with changing market conditions and support market growth initiatives.

  • Develop responses to Requests for Information (RFI’s)

  • Provide input towards the development of new products and services to include investigative analysis to determine strategic fit, time to market, and basic business case data

  • Establish key relationships with in-country entities to include US and foreign Embassies and TRU approved Covered Business Partners

  • Perform regular onsite customer visits and participate in relevant industry events

  • Partner with leadership team in forecasting sales, operating, or acquisition trends and reporting customer feedback in regards to product quality

  • Provide marketing team with competitive intelligence and help incorporate that information into marketing plans that enhance sales

  • Maintain effective knowledge of external market factors, including competitive information, in order to make educated recommendations and informed decisions

  • Represent TRU at key trade shows and events (domestically and internationally as needed), to continue to promote the TRU brand and TRU products and services; supporting TRU interests within DoD and with international customers

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a Technical discipline

  • Business Development, Marketing & Sales, or Program Management experience is preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Driven and motivated to grow sales and maintain excellent relationships

  • Strong presence and great judgment

  • Military Business Development experience is preferred

Ability to obtain a security clearance required

Ability to travel up to 50% required.

International travel required.
