Customer Account Manager



Manages and administers domestic and international contracts from order placement through delivery with all necessary interface between Customers, Sales, Engineering, Production, Citation Completion Center, Finance, Purchasing, Scheduling, Pricing, Certification, suppliers and regulatory support departments/agencies required to bring the contract to a successful conclusion with customer satisfaction.


  1. Represents the Company as the customer’s primary focal point from initiation of purchase agreement until completion and delivery of aircraft, including organizing and hosting customer visits, specification meetings, factory orders, communicating contractual updates, product reviews, aircraft status, all contract related documentation and post delivery commitment follow-up.

  2. Possesses through in-depth product knowledge and an understanding of Textron Aviation Defense Company’s (TDC capabilities and applicable regulations, evaluates and determines the most cost effective and efficient approach for fulfilling customer’s requests, and then authorizes Manufacturing, Service Center, or outside facilities to accomplish the approved task.

  3. Manages and evaluates all purchase agreements relative to TDC financial exposure. Recommends and authorizes actions to be taken to minimize financial risk to TDC.

  4. Participates with Management in contract negotiations when variations to standard contract terms are necessary or when interpretation of contractual language is required to ensure the Company’s interests are protected.

  5. Assists Sales Department in the preparation of proposals requiring quotations for cost, schedule, weight, certification, etc. in response to requests by prospective customers. Participates in sales presentations as required.

  6. Monitors production of available aircraft, advising the Domestic and International Sales Departments of aircraft schedule, price and equipment specification.

  7. Processes final customer specifications/aircraft order to Manufacturing via the AOS in strict compliance via the AOS with production schedules to ensure constant production flow.

  8. Communicates routinely with management to keep them apprised of status of customer issues affecting delivery schedules and to discuss specific problems requiring management’s intervention.

  9. Administers all formal and legal documents associated with each delivery. Stays abreast of State, Federal and International Regulation requirements related to aircraft certification, exportation, Foreign Title Passage, licensing, registration taxation, etc.

  10. Participates in litigation as required. Assists in compiling information or historical data required by Legal Counsel.

  11. Provides customer contact and assistance with training administrator in scheduling crew training course enrollment.

  12. Manages, with assistance of Coordinator, all assigned contract deposit issues to ensure such deposits are received on time to support Cessna’s cash flow requirements.

  13. Controls customer access to all areas by accompanying customer on all visits related to the production status of their aircraft.

  14. Hosts evening functions for customers during the delivery process including arranging for appropriate Management personnel to be in attendance.

  15. Manages delivery expense fund to be used in conjunction with solving various customer delivery issues which were identified during aircraft delivery.

  16. Stays abreast of various trust and escrow arrangements to include providing customer with appropriate information and/or contacts to assist customer in setting up such arrangements to ensure timely delivery of aircraft.

  17. Manages the Aircraft Order System to include recommending changes/improvements which will allow for improved Administrative efficiencies.

  18. Responsible for coordinating financial documents and data required to ensure total funding will be received via certified check, wire transfer, letter of credit in compliance with the terms of the Purchase Agreement, and delivery scheduling and financial plan commitment



  • Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Aviation, Engineering, Marketing or related field

  • Minimum 2 years relative experience required.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Customer experience required

  • Outstanding computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Parts Catalogs or Drawings preferred

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
